Queers against the Cuts will be marching with the Queer Friends of Chelsea Manning on Saturday. Queer Friends of CM are registered to take part in the march and have asked us to join them. Details of where to meet are below – from Queer Friends of CM.

We’ll be near the corner of Baker Street and Dorset Street from 12pm – the parade sets off at 1pm. The nearest tubes are Baker Street and Marble Arch. We’re right in front of a Brazilian float, so that should be quite easy to spot!

Hopefully we can all meet up for a drink or a coffee after we reach Trafalgar Square

People’s Assembly recall conference

untitled

Happy new year to everyone! Please find below more details regarding the People’s Assembly recall conference. There’s a lot of information to take in here so please look over this carefully. We have attached a document in both Word and PDF which outlines travel, access, childcare, delegation entitlement, content and how motions should be written, and other useful information. Should you require another format please let us know.
As well as being the democratic body of the People’s Assembly, we want to use the conference as a way to strengthen and grow the organisation. So please do get in touch with trade union branches, campaigns and community groups locally and ask them to send delegates. We will be sending out a formal invitation and model motion which can be adapted to send to local organisations in a following email over the next few days.
We have set the delegate entitlement for local People’s Assembly groups quite high to ensure newer activists are able to attend the conference.
